Day 4 in India

Today was a very welcomed downtime day. I thought I’d sleep forever after yesterday, but my internal clock is still off and I woke up around 7:30. After trying to go back to sleep for an hour, I finally surrendered, got out of bed, changed out of my Spider-Man pajamas (kidding), and went to eat breakfast. Afterwards, I journaled in my hotel room then slept for about 45 minutes. Tough life.

At 3:30 pm, Pastor Daniel, Pastor Shibu and I went to the village of Karuvankadu. In January 2015 I visited this location with Pastor Daniel where I first met another Pastor Daniel and his wife, Mary (see pic of the four of us). At the time, Building Hope agreed to finance a well which would become instrumental in helping them to build their future church.

Today, 2 1/2 years later, I saw the well and the church for the first time! There is a village behind the church with many families. My understanding is that this couple has a very large youth outreach. God is good!

Of course, on the way back home we stopped for tea at a roadside business guarded by the town rooster (see pic). Packing tonight and off to Hyderabad tomorrow. One last meal at Safron Hills Restaurant this evening with my new friends, Melvin and Sampad. Thanks for your prayers!
