Domestic Ministries
Bowie Food Pantry
On a monthly basis, BHM supports our local food pantry in Bowie, MD. Financial support is used to provide meals for those who are in need. During the Thanksgiving season, BHM has an
annual food drive in our community for those who are less fortunate.
Night to Shine
Throughout the year, BHM raises funds to support a major event for those who have special needs. This event is held the Friday before Thanksgiving in a local Bowie Church and is called
“Night to Shine”. Contributions for this cause bring hope and joy to a community of God’s people who often are outcasts. This event also provides an evening of rest for caregivers of those with special needs.
Education Needs
As needed, BHM participates with local churches in our region and throughout our nation as they raise support for students that attend schools in their respective localities. Typically, donations are used for educational supplies.
Disaster Relief
Hurricanes, tornadoes, or other natural disasters unfortunately strike at any time. BHM has had multiple fundraises for disaster relief. Our hope is to financially contribute to others who are in critical need of food, water, clothing, and shelter.
Missions
BHM provides monthly financial support to missionaries in Florida and Pennsylvania. Their influence not only reaches their respective states, but also other area of the world. BHM also travels nationally to share the mission and vision of Building Hope Ministries while also exploring new ministry outreach opportunities as they arise. In addition, every effort is made to visit our international pastoral partners when they travel to the United States.
General Fund
Contributions are used for website support, communications to donors, marketing, advertising, and/or needs for day-to-day operations.
Support Michael Callahan
Your recurring, or one-time donation, will support Michael Callahan; BHM’s Founder and Executive Director, and President.
International Ministries
Church Support
BHM supports the construction and repair of churches and parsonages. Church planters from multiple regions are also supported monthly so they and their families may have daily meals.
Children with HIV/AIDS
Contributions to this ministry allow BHM to assist children with HIV/AIDS so they may eat nutritious meals two times per day.
Widows
BHM provides aid for widows every month so they may have meals, clothing, and other essential needs for daily living.
Bible Distribution
Contributions to this ministry allow BHM to finance new Bibles so those without may have the Word of God at their fingertips.
Education Needs
BHM provides new school uniforms annually to various groups of children. Donations may also be used for children, or adults, for tuition, books, and educational supplies.
Wells
Everyone appreciates the value of water as it is essential for life. It is our hope that clean drinking water will lead to Living Water for all who thirst.
Ministry for the Blind
Contributions for the blind are primarily used for white canes and audio Bibles. Donations may also be used for food packets and special celebrations.
Disaster Relief
Donations received in this area of ministry allow BHM to financially contribute to others who are in critical need of food, water, clothing, and shelter.
Human Trafficking
Your contribution will give hope to young girls in Africa who have been victims of sexual abuse and/or human trafficking.
Missions
Donations for airfare, hotels, and food costs are major expenses that must be covered so BHM can travel abroad to visit pastoral partners and explore new areas of ministry.
